With its first call at Helsingborg on the 15th of October 2013 with the MV Flintercape, MacAndrews has launched new ports of call on the Scan-Baltic service linking ports of Helsingborg, Gdynia, Teesport, Thamesport to Iberia.

The fixed rotation for this updated service includes Helsingborg (Tuesday), Gdynia (Thursday), Teesport (Sunday), Thamesport (Monday) and Bilbao (Thursday). Cargo tranships at Thamesport for delivery to Lisbon and Leixoes, Portugal.

This revised service not only gives MacAndrews’ customers a unique opportunity to expand their intermodal logistics in the more northern regions of the UK but delivers cargo closer to the southern Swedish warehouse base, whilst further minimising carbon footprint.Macandrews will continue to offer our full daily rail package through Helsingborg to Oslo, Stockholm and Gothenburg.

The fresh produce importers will find these new links on the Scan Baltic service a reliable alternative for their deliveries to market.

We are very pleased to promote this new service which allows us to widen and reinforce our service portfolio, including our tailor-made range of facilities offering unique intra-European connections for this manufacturing base. MacAndrews continues to invest in its fleet of containers “high-cube pallet-wide” 40 and 45 feet, and is the undisputed European leader in 45’ high cube pallet wide temperature-controlled containers (Reefers) [33 euro-pallets].
