To our Valued Customers,
Further to our recent notice on the labour disputes in the Portuguese Ports of Lisbon and Setubal we are still facing severe disruptions and delays to all of our services into/out of these ports, slow operations and general shortage of labour availability is leading to extended working time in both Lisbon and Setubal.
Over the past month we have seen our voyage times extend from 5-7 days on average which generates substantial additional cost and financial impact to the line; these costs include but not limited to charter hire, fuel, overtime and increased logistics costs.
We regret to advise that we can no longer continue to bear these additional costs. WEF Monday 10th September 2018 until further notice MacAndrews will impose an Emergency Congestion Surcharge (ECS) of Euro 55 per teu on all cargo loaded into/out of Lisbon and Setubal on our vessels.
We regret that we are unable to concede dispensation of the ECS to any customers.
The ECS will allow MacAndrews to continue to offer our customers the highest possible level of service during this difficult period.
Should you need any clarification please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for your continued support.
