MacAndrews  were delighted to be part of the 2017 Nestlé Supplier Awards.  The event was held at the Brighton Hilton Metropole Hotel on the 16th of March.

The purpose of this event was to reward, recognise and celebrate Nestlé‘s suppliers, for their collaboration, service and support throughout.

The Most Sustainable Award

This category recognises those businesses delivering examples of how they have embraced sustainable thinking/practices in their operations and their upstream and downstream supply chains.  Nestlé has been using MacAndrews multimodal transport services for over a decade now as part of their Intra-European Zeur lanes. With this model, Nestlé saved 63% of CO2  (4 million kilogrammes of CO2) than say if those lanes were transported using 100% road transport. (You can find out your Co2 savings here)

Awards Evening

The Awards ceremony took place on 16th March 2017 at the Hilton Brighton Metropole and was a  great night of celebration. Kenneth Rohrbach, one of MacAndrews’ European Business Development Managers, attended.

The event started out with a welcome drinks reception followed by a dinner. There were two charity bidding auctions including  match tickets, dinner and drinks  for a key game for Gareth Southgate’s team preparations for the World Cup 2018 – England v Lithuania as well as a VIP Night Out at the the O2 Arena in June. All proceeds were in support of MacMillian Cancer Support.

The evening continued with the announcements of all the winners of the Supplier Awards 2017 followed by more entertainment and came to a close at 1 am for carriages.

Macmillan Cancer Support was Nestlé’s employee chosen charity this year, and MacAndrews were delighted to be able to support this amazing organisation.

About the Awards

This is the 3rd year of the ‘Nestlé Supplier Awards’. They were created to recognise and reward their best suppliers and they are very proud of the event. In their own words:

“As a supplier ourselves of great brands and products we know how hard you work to produce and deliver your fantastic products and services. Without our suppliers we could not meet the expectations of our customers and ultimate consumers of which we hope you are one too. It is for this reason that we want to take the time to recognise your contribution in helping Nestlé UK & Ireland become the organisation it is today. We have developed a number of key categories in which we believe we can recognise a vast range of products and services that our suppliers provide to Nestlé UK & Ireland and all our group companies.”
