MacAndrews the Inter European specialist is part of the CMA CGM group, has launched its easy measure carbon footprint calculator. Measuring the environmental impact of a supply chain has become an increasingly important issue for many companies.

This latest tool produces an accurate calculation of the carbon footprint of a journey, based on real data including points of departure and arrival, volume of freight using the MacAndrews intermodal links vs. a more traditional routes.

“Our new tool is reliable and ensures that our customers can be furnished with quick and accurate data about their carbon footprint. We hope this eco-calculator will prove a useful tool in the decision making process and will help customers determine the optimal choice of transport,” explains Geoffrey Smith, Managing Director for MacAndrews & Co Ltd.

Reducing its environmental impact has been for long one of the key objectives of MacAndrews as part of the CMA CGM Group, the world’s third largest container shipping group.
